In its November/December issue, the San Rafael, CA-based Correctional News highlighted how the company “is at the forefront of correctional environment change with its modern furnishings that are helping promote a more humanized environment.”

In particular, the publication interviewed Peter Graves, Norix Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who points to the color, comfort and aesthetics of the company’s furniture and how this combination assists in creating calming spaces in corrections environments and helps reduce recidivism once inmates are released.

One of the projects the article spotlights is the San Diego County Women’s Detention Facility (SDCWDF), a $221 million job that is currently being constructed on a 45-acre site in Santee, CA that will house more than 3,000 pieces of Norix correctional furniture, including beds, chairs, tables, video visitation equipment, among other products.
